Ever-Bloom's patented GERB-PAC™, a wet-packaging system
for the transport of flowers
We hand-cut
and collect Gerberas in groups of ten (more would bruise the
delicate petals) and place them in water carts to be moved to
the cooler.
In the
packing house, 40 flowers are put into a black card, again placed
in water, and moved along an automated line to be boxed.
Our packing
facilities are kept cool, and we maintain a 40-45 degree (F)
refrigerated cooler. We hand-pack 80 flowers per layer and secure
each layer with padded cleats, staples and quilt batting with
usually 2-4 layers per box.
